The Breakfast Room
Situated at the front of the house, looking out onto the front lawn, at first light the sun shines into this room, giving a nice all round welcoming glow. Tastefully decorated in Farrow & Ball, Dorset Cream, and original floor boarding. An old Dutch tapestry adorns the back wall. Equipped with Dualit toaster, Marco filter coffee maker, Lipton flavoured Tea Chest, and pure white crockery, all in all, a very pleasant room. |

The Welbeck Farm Shop and The Welbeck Bake House.
We always purchase our morning feast from our partners to ensure that only the finest ingredients are used, and made to traditional values. Including dry cured back bacon, wholesome sausage, and black pudding made in the farmshop. Eggs are always free range producing a wonderful golden yolk.
We serve a selection of breads, from sourdough, Polish Rye, Cape seeded, Pagnotta, ciabatta, Fig and walnut, white tin, and croissants, these breads vary daily so if you have a favourite, please let us know in advance.
Seats six people.
Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 9.00am Monday to Friday and between 8am and 9.30am at the weekend.
Early breakfasts are available by prior arrangement.

In January 2011 Woodend Guesthouse was awarded a mark of 5 by the Food Standards Agency for it’s Food Hygiene practices.

The Neapolitan Room |
|
| On opening your curtains you have 180 degree views of the open, rolling countryside, front lawns and driveway. Further through the fields you can see the Round Barrow Tumulus south of Woodend Farm. Most of the year you will see Rabbits, Pheasants and Partridges wandering through the garden.
This bedroom has a feature Russian Pine Four poster double bed, hand built in the 1970’s, with white muslin drapes. We call this the Neapolitan Room, as the tastefully decorated colour scheme represents a traditional Italian ice cream, with it’s warm pink and chocolate walls, complimented with, of course cream and white soft furnishings.

| On stepping down the three stairs, you will find it spacious, with oak beams, open, uninterrupted north west facing 180 degree views from the internal shuttered windows, and over looking the rear garden and summer house.
Bedroom Furniture is Russian reproduction style with King size sleigh bed, matching wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinets.
Walls are a very delicate light green. Soft furnishings a mix of creams, gold’s and Black.

The Portland Room |
|
| Named in honour of The Duke of Portland, newly decorated and refitted March 2010 to a high standard. This bedroom is a very cosy place to stay, features shuttered windows, and is North facing, overlooking the rear garden and summerhouse.
The iron bedstead compliments the plum and Lilac walls, old English white furniture is the theme. The tub chair is situated in the large window, and is an ideal place to sit and watch the sun go down on those long summer evenings, some spectacular night skies can be viewed from this room.

The Portland Room has a good spacious shower ensuite featuring a delightful gilt mirror, this room is well stocked always, with good quality shower gels, shampoos and conditioners.

| We used Wooodend Guest House in March 2011 to host a discussion group with 11 armed service veterans. We had access to the entire ground floor of the house and used the back lounge as a meeting room and the sitting room for accompanying wives. A fantastic buffet lunch, prepared with locally sourced foods was finished off with homemade cakes.
What makes Woodend special is the attention to detail offered by Trevor. He invested significant time and effort understanding and meeting our every need. We were very pleased with how the day went and wouldn't hesitate to use Woodend for similar events in the future.
